This leather keychain is hand tooled and finished the old-fashioned way from heavy 13 oz saddle skirting leather — the same type of leather used for working tack. This is the leather we use for all of our keychains. Thick, sturdy, and made to last. The flower design is carved by hand, not stamped by machine. After tooling, it is airbrushed a lovely red, the edges are beveled and burnished smooth, then the piece is oiled to keep the leather strong and supple. It feels solid in the hand and will age beautifully over time. Sized right for everyday use without being bulky. Works just as well as a zipper pull on a bag or tote — and unlike metal pulls or beads, leather won’t scratch your bag. Built for daily use, not decoration. The kind of small leather good that just gets better with years of handling.
